About JT Thornton
JT Thornton serves as Senior Vice President of Development and Construction Management for Fairlead Commercial Real Estate. JT works with tenants throughout the Fairlead portfolio to coordinate build out, assisting with all phases including space planning, permitting, subcontractor selection, scheduling and punch out. JT’s vast knowledge of the construction industry makes him instrumental in communication with Tenants and the Fairlead team making sure projects are completed on time, under budget, and with Tenant and Landlord needs recognized.
JT offers over 29 years of construction and real estate development experience. Prior to joining Fairlead, he served as founder and Principal of Thornton & Associates, LLC where his areas of responsibility included all aspects of the investment process, from site selection and asset acquisition, construction management, financing, lease-up and disposition. He started his career in 1986 with a design build construction firm, The Haskell Company.
JT holds a degree in Building Construction from the University of North Florida and is a Licensed Florida Contractor.

About Julian Boardman
Julian Boardman serves as Senior Construction Manager for Fairlead Commercial Real Estate. In this role Julian provides construction management for tenant improvement projects focusing on budgets, meeting deadlines, and tenant communication to ensure successful outcomes for every project. His combination of design and construction background gives him a unique ability to review tenant plans for overall cost, design flow, tenant allowance application and efficient use of space benefiting both the landlord and the tenant. Julian’s depth of experience also allows him to assist Fairleads various leasing teams in the execution of leases by aiding in defining a scope of work that meets the financial goals of both the owner and prospective tenant.
Julian began his career in general commercial contracting. In his time as a construction manager he has performed various duties such as inspections, quality control, and management of projects ranging from $5 to $50 Million. Prior to joining Fairlead, Julian was responsible for overseeing the construction management department of Insignia ESG (CBRE) which consisted of $20 million of annual tenant improvement work across 16 Million square feet of office space.
Mr. Boardman has resided in Atlanta for more than 20 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University with a minor in project management. He recently earned the Design of Excellence Award from the mayor of Atlanta for his work on a project for the Atlanta Development Authority.
About Alex Malsky
Alex Malsky has joined Fairlead as Construction Administrator in Fairlead’s Florida office. Alex will support the construction management team in a multitude of initiatives including project tracking, scheduling and cost analysis.
Alex brings a diverse background of knowledge and experience as an operation / support executive to the Fairlead Team. Having spent the previous 19 years of his career in the airport retail industry where he oversaw the construction phase of stores within airports from coast to coast. Previously, Alex spent a number of years in department stores and big-box retail operations.
Alex, a Jacksonville native, holds a business degree in transportation and logistics from the University of North Florida. Alex enjoys serving the community, most recently with Feeding the Homeless Project, Inc. in Atlanta and serving within his church. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Interfaith Airport Chapel at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
